Our mission
To make industrial automation easier to define, safer to change and more useful to operate by combining disciplined engineering, practical documentation and direct communication from discovery through handoff.
Industrial automation / Atlanta, Georgia
PLC/HMI programming, control systems, panels, instrumentation and practical technology support for Atlanta and North Georgia. We help turn an operating problem into a defined scope, controlled implementation and usable technical handoff.
DEFINE01 / The approach
INOVAX is an independent engineering and technology company based in Atlanta. We help organizations define, improve and support industrial automation and connected control systems—without overselling what has not yet been scoped.
Our work begins with the process, the equipment and the people who operate it. We examine the present condition, identify interfaces and constraints, and translate the requirement into decisions that engineering, operations and maintenance can understand.
Industrial automation comes first. Digital tools and AI are considered only when they solve a real operational problem, have an accountable owner and can be maintained responsibly. We value clear communication, controlled change, practical testing and documentation that remains useful after startup.
Tell us what needs to work betterRequirements, assumptions, exclusions, interfaces and acceptance criteria are made visible early so everyone can evaluate the same work.
We request only the information needed to define the engagement and can establish formal confidentiality terms when appropriate.
The objective is not merely a running system, but one your team can operate, understand, troubleshoot and support with appropriate documentation.
To make industrial automation easier to define, safer to change and more useful to operate by combining disciplined engineering, practical documentation and direct communication from discovery through handoff.
To become a trusted technical partner for organizations that need modern controls and connected operations without unnecessary complexity, vendor hype or loss of ownership over their systems.
02 / Core capabilities
Start with a defined requirement, a troublesome system or an early-stage idea. We connect controls, electrical interfaces, field devices and documentation into a practical scope, then identify the safest and most useful next step.
Control architecture, brownfield modernization planning, machine and process integration, industrial communications, functional testing and commissioning support—organized around the operating requirement.
PLC logic, HMI applications, alarms, sequences, interlocks, VFD interfaces and troubleshooting. Changes are planned around operator workflow, recovery behavior, version control and a controlled test path.
Control-panel design and build coordination, I/O and field interfaces, instrumentation loops, motor control, installation planning, startup support and structured diagnosis of difficult industrial faults.
Structured diagnosis of intermittent stops, signal disagreements, PLC/HMI/VFD faults, industrial-network problems and sequence-dependent failures using evidence, cause-and-effect analysis and a controlled recovery path.
Application review, drive and motor interfaces, command and reference signals, parameters, permissives, interlocks, trip analysis, safe restart behavior and commissioning tests.
Pressure, temperature, level, flow and position signals; scaling, PID behavior, alarms, trends, calibration, loop checks and documentation of the complete signal path.
Assessment of structured data, reports, approvals and repeated information handoffs, with human review, ownership, risks and maintainability defined before automation.
Requirements discovery, option and dependency analysis, brownfield modernization planning, phased roadmaps and vendor-neutral decision support across operations, controls and IT.
03 / Platforms & documentation
These are platforms and product families INOVAX can discuss based on applicable technical experience. Exact model, generation, software release, firmware, licenses, source-file access and network compatibility are confirmed during discovery; listing a brand is not a blanket claim of support for every product.
Rockwell Automation / Allen-Bradley ControlLogix, CompactLogix and Micro800; Siemens SIMATIC S7-1200 and S7-1500; ABB AC500; AutomationDirect CLICK, CLICK PLUS and Productivity1000/2000/3000.
Allen-Bradley PanelView with FactoryTalk View Studio or Studio 5000 View Designer as applicable; AVEVA InTouch HMI, formerly Wonderware; AutomationDirect C-more CM5 and EA9; Siemens SIMATIC HMI/WinCC; ABB CP600.
Allen-Bradley PowerFlex, Siemens SINAMICS, ABB ACS and AutomationDirect DURApulse GS20, GS20X and GS4. Yaskawa GA, Danfoss VLT, Schneider Electric Altivar, WEG CFW and Toshiba applications are reviewed case by case.
Common questions: Can you work with our existing version? Who receives the source files? How are legacy systems handled? What must be available before a shutdown? These questions are answered in each detailed service page and documented in the proposal before work begins.
View platforms, problems, deliverables and FAQs03 / A practical engagement
Every engagement is different, but the decision path should be understandable. We begin with the minimum information needed, expose uncertainties early and agree on what will be produced and how it will be accepted before implementation grows.
We clarify the operating problem, stakeholders, equipment, constraints, available evidence and information that can be shared. Unknowns are recorded instead of converted into promises.
You receive a proposed scope with assumptions, exclusions, interfaces, deliverables, acceptance criteria and the next decision. Platform and version compatibility are confirmed here.
Work is executed against the agreed scope with controlled changes and planned testing, then documented for practical operation, maintenance and future support.
We understand that facilities, control systems and project details can be sensitive or classified. We do not ask for public testimonials, photos or case-study rights as a condition of working together. Formal confidentiality terms can be established when the engagement requires them.
04 / Technical insight
INOVAX technical notes translate industrial-control topics into practical discovery questions, documentation requirements and implementation boundaries. They are educational resources, not substitutes for a site-specific engineering or cybersecurity assessment.
TECHNICAL NOTE / 01How asset inventory, communication flows, segmentation, remote access, testing and recovery planning help organizations connect operational data without ignoring reliability and safety.
04 / Let's talk
Describe the operating problem, affected equipment, objective, location and desired timing without sharing restricted material. A complete specification is not required for the first conversation; we can help identify the information needed to define a responsible next step.
